“I came back to come tell you, Nick. I came back to see you and to tell you what was going on, because I felt guilty about leaving without any explanation. Then I come back and hear you cheated on me…” She sighed, her small sobs filled the room, she couldn’t bare to look at him.
Nick put his face in his hands and slid them down slowly while shaking his head. He stood up from the bed and walked over to hug her. “I’m so sorry Scarlet, I wasn’t thinking clearly. I was upset that you just got up and left me.”
Scarlet sobbed into his chest, wrapping her arms back around his torso. She tightened her grip around him, missing the feeling of being in his arms, but everything felt different. It felt weak, and broken. Her tears soaked into his shirt, gasping for air between some cries. She didn’t ever think that he would do this to her, but he did, and now she was broken because of it.
